1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Veil (via softexforge.io, our mobile application, or any related services), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our Services.
You must be at least 18 years old to use this service. By using Veil, you represent and warrant that you are of legal age to form a binding contract.
2. The "Veil" Code of Conduct
Veil is a space for authentic connection. We have a zero-tolerance policy for:
- Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or bullying
- Impersonation, identity theft, or "Catfishing"
- Sharing sexually explicit content without mutual consent
- Solicitation, spam, or commercial activity
- Violence, threats, or promoting dangerous activities
- Attempting to circumvent our verification systems
- Using the platform for illegal activities
Violation of these rules will result in a permanent ban, enforced by our device and biometric blocking technology. Banned users cannot create new accounts.
3. Account Registration and Security
3.1 Verification Process
All users must complete AI verification through video selfie submission. By submitting your verification video, you consent to facial analysis for age, gender, and liveness detection.
3.2 Account Accuracy
You must provide accurate, current information during registration. Providing false information is grounds for immediate account termination.
3.3 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
4. User Content and Intellectual Property
4.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you submit (photos, messages, profile information). By uploading content, you grant Veil a limited license to store, process, and display it for providing our Services.
4.2 Content Standards
You must have the right to share any content you upload. You may not upload:
- Content that infringes intellectual property rights
- Nudity or sexually suggestive images in your verification photo
- Images of minors
- Copyrighted material without permission
4.3 Veil's Intellectual Property
The Veil platform, including our AI technology, design, and branding, is owned by SoftexForge and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer our Services.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
5.1 Free and Premium Features
Veil offers both free and premium subscription tiers. Premium features, pricing, and billing terms will be clearly displayed before purchase.
5.2 Refund Policy
All sales are final unless otherwise required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support within 14 days.
5.3 Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can manage subscriptions through your device's app store settings.
6. Safety & Liability (The "Safe Zone" Disclaimer)
IMPORTANT: READ CAREFULLY
Veil provides "Safe Zone" suggestions for in-person meetups using third-party location data. However, Veil and SoftexForge are not responsible for your safety during offline interactions.
You agree to:
- Use caution and judgment when meeting anyone from the internet
- Meet in public places during daylight hours
- Inform a friend or family member of your plans
- Trust your instincts—if something feels wrong, leave
The "Handshake Code" feature is a verification tool, not a guarantee of safety. Veil does not conduct background checks or screen users beyond AI verification.
7. Prohibited Uses
You may not use Veil to:
- Harvest data or scrape user information
- Create automated accounts or bots
- Attempt to hack, defraud, or compromise our systems
- Interfere with other users' experience
- Use our Services for commercial purposes without authorization
- Circumvent geographic restrictions or access controls
8. Account Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.
You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, your data will be processed according to our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS.
Veil makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding:
- The accuracy of user profiles or verification
- That matches will result in relationships or dates
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- The behavior or intentions of other users
- The security of data transmission over the internet
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VEIL AND SOFTEXFORGE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
- Personal injury or property damage resulting from use of the Services
- Conduct of other users, whether online or offline
- Any content posted by users
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, OR $100 USD, WHICHEVER IS LESS.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Veil, SoftexForge, and our affiliates from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your use of the Services
- Your content or conduct
- Your violation of any third-party rights
12. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
12.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12.2 Arbitration
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Veil shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. You waive the right to a jury trial or class action lawsuit.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Miscellaneous
14.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Veil.
14.2 Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
14.3 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right.
14.4 Assignment
You may not assign these Terms. We may assign our rights to any affiliate or successor.
